did you know that the newest Morganville Vamps book just came out?  I ordered my copy of Carpe Corpus yesterday at the used book store!  Just thought I'd fill you in - I think we have been reading them at the same time!

Yeah, I know!!! I'm hoping to pick it up this weekend. I loved the books so far, such a nice change of pace from all the vampires-are-good books out there.

I've read seven of the 13 on your list - the Morganvilles and Lucky.

How was Along for the Ride?  I really do enjoy Dessen's books, well most of them.

I read PEEPS by Scott Westerfield and some parts I really liked but not the overall book - which has kept me from looking into his books any further.

Along for the Ride was good. I think she's slipping a bit. She started off weak with That Summer and Someone Like You and then go stronger, but Lock and Key felt dull though I've learned to love it. I feel like it's just repeating itself over again. AFTR takes place in Colby though, so we get to see the Last Chance again which is cool. I like that her books all take place in one universe. I think the main character (Auden) annoyed me the most. She was just so immature... which I guess came from her being academic smart but not social smart... idk, worth a read.

The Uglies trilogy is nothing like Peeps or The Last Year or So Yesterday. I don't even think I realized that it was the same author when I bought it. It's more of a utopia gone distopia book, which I'm a sucker for. Honestly, I don't think they have the same feel as his other books. (Plus they're finally all in paperback which is a major plus!)

Loved it! Very episodic-- kind of monster of the week, but I really enjoyed it. I thought that a lot of the dialogue was trying to hard, I swear 90% of Eve's dialogue was one-liners. Great one-liners but soooo many of them.

I'm a book hoarder, I can barely use the library because I always end up buying the books I like, bookswim would not be for me.
